Rebranding a new cover for a book 

A book by Mitch Albom: The Five People You Meet In Heaven

The book that I redesign is “the five people you meet in heaven” by Mitch Albom.

This is a story about a man named Eddie who had a significant impact on five different people that he will meet in heaven without him knowing while he was still alive. Those five people he'll meet in heaven will tell their stories of how they crossed paths before and reveal the reasons why he was there with a surprising twist oh how he became who he is now till he died. I liked this book a lot because it made me think about out of seven billion people on earth there will only be five people you will meet heaven and it’s not your relatives or your close friends which makes it more interesting.

With this being said, the process of how I redesign the book is, I emphasized the main message without revealing all of it. So I came up with a modern design for the new young readers or the millennials today with the bright subtle color of baby blue which resembles the color “heaven-like” and a big number five in the middle of the book cover to get people’s attention right away just to emphasize the five more. Then I had the words place on the open corners of the number five this way people can scan through the whole book cover rather than just being there.

I want my design as simple and unique at the same time yet enjoyable to look at. My purpose is to get the people to read the book because I believe with a great book cover it will get people’s attention which has a high tendency for them to read it and it's a great book, a great book needs a great book cover.
